Solve: VEG SALSA

PS:Gramma, if "Central's" was the answer, can you explain how it's not a possessive proper noun? I'm stumped :nutzoid:

Tis the plural of central ...

for example

Or the name of a sports team - The Centrals

umm ... are proper nouns allowed in this thread? I guess I should have checked.

While I was checking out some of my concocted word-forms for your anagram, I did a search for,"semelist", and found these TIMELESS[= MITSELSE] Middle English writings titled, "Amis and Amiloun, Robert of Cisyle, and Sir Amadace"
SIR AMADACE wrote:Quod the quite knyghte, "Wold thu luffe him avre all thing
That wold the owte of thi mournyng bringe,
And kevyr the owte of kare?
For here beside duellus a riall king,
And hase a doghtur fayre and yinge,
He luffis nothing mare.
And thu art one of the semelist knyghte
That evyr yette I see with syghte,
That any armes bare.
That mun no mon hur wedde ne weld,
Butte he that first is inne the fild,
And best thenne justus thare.

In this context, "semelist" means "fairest" in modern day translation, i.e. 'and you are the fairest knight...'
For those that are interested in the origins of the "grateful dead" folklore, the link provided will give you the answers. Very interesting stuff indeed!

grammafreddy, proper nouns are fine; but I had to check with you as there is no plural of "adj. central". I merely wanted to confirm with you that my guess of, "Central's" or "Centrals' "(possessive proper nouns), was correct.

I gave you that link to Citizen centrals.

Not cap. Not possessive.

Or is that not what you meant ???

Unfortunately, the website you linked to suffers from an error/typo, or poor translation from Portuguese, on the first line. However, it corrects the mistake on the list heading one paragraph below. No biggie.
