It was really hard on us. I still cry as I miss them. We are now blessed with a Golden Retriever and two cats, Our house doesn't feel like a home with no pets.

3 years ago we also lost 2 cats in 6 weeks. My heart goes to everyone who loses a pet.

I'm so sorry for your loss. A valued furry member remains in one's heart while a little piece goes with them over the Rainbow Bridge.

So sorry. I took my old man kitty to the vet today. He is still doing well, but he is at least 12. I can't imagine what I will do when it is his time to go. I don't even want to think about it.

^^^He did ... laugh when friends say they want to come back as one of my cats/dogs. It's a strange feeling - never NOT had a cat in the house.

It didn't take long for use to add more pets after others have pets have passed. We need to have them in our lives. Never to replace as you can't replace pets but to welcome new characters to your family.

Up late after having to say good-bye to our pal Abbey, she was a 15 year Australian Shepherd who lived up to her breed name as a shepherd. She started having continuous seizures last evening and there was nothing that could control them. A good life she enjoyed from being in the shows, to agility, to just being a great family mutt. RIP Abbey you will be missed.

Oh no, GenesisGT, I am so sorry your loss of your furbaby, Abbey. You'll meet again on the Rainbow Bridge someday, her tail will be a wagging.
