Dog obedience

Post by Amarow121 »

Wondering if anyone has recommendations for a basic dog obedience class. We recently added a new dog to the family, and would like to get him up to speed on proper behaviour and expose him to other dogs on leash in a controlled environment.

any suggestions or tips would be appreciated.

North, Central or South Okanagan?

Make sure the trainer you choose only uses reward-based, positive reinforcement methods. Aversive (force-based) trainers are using outdated and disproven methods. You don't need pain to train.

Central Okanagan.

Yes, I agree with positive only! Our new dog is very receptive to treats and praise. :) (Food motivated dogs are great!)
