Thankfully, here in the Okanagan we have a fantastic organization adressing this issue: The Okanagan Cat Coalition. Volunteers spend countless hours, days, weeks trapping, spaying/ neutering, fostering, nursing, talking to potential adopters, taking care of colonies....just to name a few things. They get no funding. It is 100% Volunteer run and depends on donations. Volunteers pay out of their own pockets to foster the ones that are adoptable until they find their furever homes. Caretakers of colonies also pay out of pocket. People do care.

This is a problem that will only get bigger without community involvement. I urge anyone who knows of a colony to report it to the Okanagan Cat Coalition to get help for these poor discarded souls.

:digging: <---------------------------keep guessing!

I only have Willow, so getting another kitty or two will not make me a "crazy cat lady."

(I actually like bird stuff).
