As for game it self (wherever it ends up being played), since it's a preseason game chances are each teams regulars may or may not even play.

Expect the announcement late Friday afternoon June 24. If it doesn't happen then, the next likely is Thursday afternoon June 30 with the long weekend giving a buffer for the anger to die down.

its because they are afraid to say Kelowna. How are they selling tickets from the select your tickets? that means anyone can go..dont be surprised to see tickets being scalped to Lumby residents!!

It comes down to money. When the NHL puts a pre-season game into a rink, they want money. Kraft has a deal with the NHL for a game. Kraft most definitely won't put the game into the Lumby rink. It holds a few hundred at most. The Vernon KalTire rink seats 3008. Prospera Place in Kelowna seats 6886. If Kraft can't get enough money from ticket sales, then they have to pay the difference to the NHL. Now ask yourself again, which rink will they put the game into? Bingo! The one with the most seats.

This isn't about doing Lumby a favour by putting the game into the rink in their town, or even nearest them in Vernon. It's about money. And that's what will decide this.

Even though I am from Kelowna, Lumby should have it. Isn't this thing about hockey and small town Canada and not $$$$$

As a Lumby resident I am happy for the 20 min drive compared to the 45 to 1 hour drive to KTown.

As you can see in the story the tickets are free and a lottery will be held to get them.
Details next month..... :D :130:

All Lumby residents should get first crack at the tickets, only if any are available after that do they go to general public.
