Is Landmark in the "Challenge" Plaza?

Depends on your reference point. If your are talking Challenge Race, that would be downtown. On this topic, Challenge Plaza might be a tongue in cheek reference to the lands opened up by the Green Ave bridge. As in it will be a "challenge" to attract the box stores that some people are so enamored with.
Mere months away from completion one would expect a few sell congratulatory signs saying 'Coming soon". Nada. Why?

Patience people. The Anderson subdivision at the North end of Vernon was a barren wasteland when they built the highway around it and the 48th ave connector through it. Now it is fully developed. Home Depot , Superstore , Lake City casino , Kal Tire , a couple of new hotels to name a few , many smaller businesses too.

The only thing above that would be a possibility IMO would be Hotel and new home for Lakecity Casino.

Anyone want to talk back room negotiating and conspiracy theory lol? Without even realizing it I think I may have just stumbled onto a reason why the City is so proactive in this hotel at the Convention Center. Lake City Casino has confirmed in the media that they only have two years left on their lease.
What would the implications be if the Casino relocated to a new Hotel on the newly accessible Channel Parkway PIB lands? Seems pretty obvious that the annual multi million dollar gambling dollar dividend would go to the PIB instead of the City Of Penticton. And how would the City ever admit to this being their motivation without appearing to be racisit in the worst, or uncooperative in PIB development opportunities at best? Quite a pickle actually.

Tongue in cheek reference to Iron City Square and no more Ironman race in Penticton

I heard that Eatons, Woodwards, Woolworths, Woolco and Future are confirmed tenants in the new Development. Oh...wait a minute....I may be thinking of a different timeline.
