14 year old charged with murder

Post by Glacier »

14 is way too young to be killing people.

Two teenagers are facing second-degree murder charges following the discovery of a body in Vernon's Polson Park.

Jason Hardy, 42, was found dead near the lawn bowling clubhouse on Aug. 26.

RCMP Const. Jocelyn Noseworthy said the two teens are 14 and 18 years old and were arrested on Monday. They are both from the Greater Vernon area.

Police say the offence appears to have been targeted, and the public is not at risk.

The two accused were expected to appear in Vernon court on Wednesday. RCMP are not releasing their names at this time.

Police ask anyone with unreported information on the death to contact the Vernon detachment.

The RCMP has said previously that Hardy was known to police.

Its hard to say at this point what exactly happened. Maybe the boys were at the skateboard park, and the victim came over from the Green Valley Motel, or the junkie drugged out end of the park and tried to rob them or something along those lines. In doing so the boys hit him in the head with a skateboard in a act of self defense. Who know's it sad and unfortunate for everyone involved.
