Pay by phone is nothing new. All Europeans country have option to pay by phone for almost everything and they don't pay any extra fee for this.
Why we in VERNON have to pay an extra 25 cent convenience fee ?
By adding pay by phone option, city will save money on..... less ticket....less paper work.

Bus fares, vending machines - all able to be paid for through SMS since the late 90s.

and they don't pay any extra fee for this.
