How many shootings in the last year? How many break ins? How many deaths?

Yes its nice here but to ignore the fact that things they are a changin' here is silly.

I have never lived in Vernon, I've seen a limited amount of the City. I was to the boat show twice and that area is very nice. The drive through it, gives on a impression it is in a time warp of sorts. I don't know...

I saw a jaywalker today AND some guy ran a red light. Total breakdown of the social order.

The biggest issue and the downfall of Vernon or any city is gentrification. In vernon the rent has skyrocketed to almost unaffordable levels. We got kicked out of our old place by the land lord so he could do renovations, he redid the basement to have two bedrooms and a suite and the upstairs is a separate suite. So instead of making 1600 dollars a month off a single house he can now make 1600+1200 for the suite, not sure if that's what he's charging for it. I remember when we could rent a three-four bedroom house in vernon for 7-800 dollars a month, Now that same house is 12-1600 dollars easily.

This a sickening disease in society, everyone could have access to a warm house and a meal three times a day if it wasn't for the greed of others. Look at how much food is wasted by people and stores on a daily basis. I remember seeing this group on tv somewhere in the states and they went to the grocery stores bakeries etc collected all of the "old throw away" They were able to cook everything they obtained in a meal. The one person said something to the effect of people will think the food isn't edible after the time has ran out for it and we're proving them wrong.
