I note the photo used in the original article on Expedia is of Coldstream, not Vernon.

I'm thinking all the honeymooners in Sparkling Hills would skewer the stats.
As WW3 develops, no one is going to be dissing the "preppers." What have you done?

Biggest draw to the area (not sure about romance) would be Silver Star Ski & recreational area.

There were honeymooners at Sparkling Hills when I've been there.

Coldstream is considered part of Greater Vernon so I don't see an issue with it considering the area.

Sparkling Hills is mostly old folks. We spent a couple of nights there. No honey mooners to be sure. You could go to Mexico for a month for the cost a week there.

Like I said, there were honeymooners when I've been there and more than a few young people. I don't consider 50'ish to be old either. Not everyone wants to go to Mexico and when you can get a discount at the Hills, it's easy to stay an extra night or two.

The only reason for Vernon to be romantic is because there's nothing to do, no jobs, and no future, so might as well $%^#&

That's one of the stupidest comments I've read in a while. Lots of families with both partners working are hardly called "bums".
