Mr Canning earning his keep?

Post by Rosemary1 »

Mr. Cannings first 3 private member' billl
http://www.pentictonherald.ca/news/arti ... b921f.html

1. Labelling of food products with GMO ( fair enough - if he can achieve something that no one else has in 20 years of trying in Canada that would be fine. (Health Canada must change its regulations that are now used by food manufacturers to get around labelling)

2. Setup a Canadian Department of Peace top peacefully resolve conflicts at home and abroad (guess there aren't enough international agencies trying to resolve conflicts around the world....? Maybe Canada can do a better job unilaterally? Seriously?)

3. Canadians to apologize to British brought over to Canada decades ago as indentured servants. (So exactly when are we going to say enough is enough with apologies to every group that was subject of historically bad policies and treatment that would never be acceptable today, and by 'canadians' who are no longer living today? What's next? Compensation claims by descendants of that British group?

He's simply appealing to his NDP base.

He could stay home for the next three years and nobody would notice he did. As well, no one would care.
Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.

Well there's a complete waste of time and taxpayers' money. If he thinks any of this matters to the average Canadian, he's drunk.
