Penticton Fire Marshall
Has anyone had any dealings with the current Fire Marshall in Penticton within the last year or so? I'm hearing that certain public summer events could be in jeopardy because he is concerned about (for example) a person using a modern and properly functioning and properly maintained propane BBQ or grill that is not CSA approved at a sanctioned event, say, in Gyro Park. I understand the need for safety and fire prevention but it almost sounds kind of trivial? Have there been problems in the past with grills or BBq's at public events that this is a major issue? Heck, I see people using gas grills on their apartment balconies, which certainly is a big no-no, but you never hear about the Fire Marshall going to shut them down or make them remove the appliance?
Am I missing something here?
