Or could it be part of the 3 fraud cases under review worth big dollars that colonel klink refers to?
Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.

The problem with the gene pool is that there is no lifeguard.

Good catch. Let's hope.

Fraud is not a victimless crime. If these things get swept aside it isn't much of a deterrent to the next person who sees an opportunity to take advantage of the trust that has been placed in them and take that which isn't theirs.

They could go on to a new position and do the same again to another community/group/organization.

Or maybe they go into politics where the pot gets really big. :)

You are right Oily, look at the fiasco with the woman that embezzled money from the Hospice Society in Kelowna. She also ripped off the Hospice in Nanaimo.

That's a great example. Once these folks have some success doing this they become a little more emboldened each time they are given that trust.

I am concerned that the folks being investigated might have some influence in high places which may be impeding the process.

I hope that's not true but you never know these days. The people whose money has been misappropriated need to keep pushing for a resolution. They are entitled to answers.

The system seems again and again to be stacked in favour of the wrong doers and against the victims.

Wonder if crown has closed the file on this one? It is now September, 2019.

I would say at this point that is a pretty reasonable assumption.
I guess the perpetrator(s) will get away with it. My suspicion is that it helps to have friends in high places.

Hopefully, I am wrong.

The investigation has not been closed. Can't say anything more than that.
As for the perps getting away with it, this is Canada so most likely a slap on the wrist then a hug for inflicting the corporal punishment of wrist slapping. Then a healing circle and so on.....
Why use a big word when a diminutive one will suffice.
