Now this is the time that posters (you know who you are) come and bad mouth GoFundMe.
I sometimes think that GoFundMe might have a purpose but in this case I might suggest the funds be refunded once he's on his feet. He broke all the rules.

Hopefully this results in heavy penalties, no insurance, no helmet, not registered.

I'm I missing something.
I read the link provided, it said several weeks at KGH. It's been 2 weeks since boxing day.

Don't get me wrong, I hope for full recovery.

You're right - the accident happened on Boxing Day and it's only been two weeks (not several).

I think the father has been penalized pretty good so far. Chances of this not affecting him for the rest of his life is slim.
I hope they both make a full recovery and hopefully he practices better judgement next time after following all the rules.

They are both very lucky to be alive after doing something so very stupid.

Being intoxicated & endangering his child live like this, if he has a wife... I can only imagine that conversation. He will more than likely will be having to deal with charges from the police.

Pretty sure it's his wife that has to take time off to look after the daughter and the husband. No easy road for the next couple of months.

I am one of those posters !!
Just hope none of the GoFundme profits they are making go towards his criminal defence lawyer.
RCMP should be charging him for his careless actions.

PS ... speedy recovery to the young girl, she didnt deserve this because of her father's stupid actions.
