KFC is the Kamloops Fire Centre, for your information. They control the campfire bans as much or more than the Regional District does. Makes little sense for CORD to put a ban in place yet KFC remains open.

Absolutely but it should cover the entire Kamloops Fire District, which can only be ordered by Forestry. Its just as dry in the South Okanagan as the Central; perhaps drier.

Note: I believe that the fire ban imposed by CORD only includes the areas covered by local fire departments; anything outside those areas (which is a big chunk of the regional district) is not included in the ban.

The ban is within the fire department jurisdictions: In colour on the attached map and not the total boundary outline of the Central Okanagan Regional District.. Check first with your local fire departments for clarifications.
