The city should have local flood plain maps available to affected residents so they can get appropriate insurance and make suitable preparations,
Oh wait...
That would mean that the city has prepared for this.
Never mind...

I was told by a old timer that the highest day of flow ( melt ) is June 12. This happened to be his grandsons birthday. When you think of it where the deep snow is, you need the heat to get there to melt all that snow.
Hope the rain has helped take some of the snow off, look pretty bad if you live on the banks.

As with most "disasters" be it "more snow than the City of Kelowna has received in 40 years" or the current flooding situation in our area............NOT A SINGLE COMMENT FROM ANY OF OUR CITY COUNCIL OR MAN/CHILD MAYOR.............EVER! What a useless bunch of self-serving morons. The ONLY people talking here about the flooding are the victims, Stutters and some other restoration companies.

If you live in Upper Mission do you worry about floods? Is there a photo-op free meal and wine involved? I wonder how many free meals it took to stamp the Eldorado build on the lake.
