Considering the pattern we've witnessed in California, and the seemingly mirror image we see happening here, do you think we're headed for a few wet years or more dry years, 60?

If everyone just filled every bucket and barrel they had around the yard they'd be doing their part. Then use the water to water shrubs, trees and bushes, hedges and other plants not normally getting a lot of water at the root base.

If we all use 5 gallon/20L buckets, that would take 280,000,000 buckets to keep up with one day.
To take the lake level down, we'd need to surpass that figure substantially

With three cities and additional communities on this lake, we're safe to use a figure of 280,000 people.

Each and every person accounted for would need to hand-bomb 1000 buckets per day to keep up.
To cause a draining affect on the lake, we'd need to add on a significant amount to that figure. Let's bolster it to 1200, 5 gallon buckets a day.

Now THAT sounds like a challenge!!!

I have a theory that if people water their plants from their buckets, slowly, then the plant's up take will prevent too much water from reaching the water table level.

How we can help drain the lake ?

Not sure what others are doing but personally I think I'm doing my part.

I have several tanker loads of water "stored" in my front yard,
A few outbuildings and a cabin are also "holding" a fair amount.

If I chose to run pumps from the lake to more of the property I'm
pretty sure it would just find it's way back in to the lake fairly promptly.

Any ideas ?

I've been using the "full flush" button on the toilet after peeing.
I've also been running with scissors......but the Lake is still going up.

Always used to advertise sphagnum as the all natural super absorbent material they used in their products.

I think it's time for Colon to give Always a call.
We could use some shipments of their super absorbent pads.

This won't help drain the lake but I figure if at least 50% of the people that live here go outside right now and swat just 1 misqutoe there would be say 50000 less to munch on me...? Ahhhhhhhh I'm so itchy....
