This is really bad. The airport is used to launch fire fighting aircraft. Lose that and they have to come from elsewhere. Currently the 2 Convairs at Penticton are out fighting fires, somewhere in BC.
Why use a big word when a diminutive one will suffice.

My dad is packing up his valuables and leaving. If the forecast for dry lightning and wind looks to be accurate, they could start evacuating the city tonight at 6.

Lots of people are leaving Williams Lake. The smoke is unbelievable. Even healthy people can't breathe. 300 RCMP are on their way to help keep homes safe since many people are leaving even though the order hasn't been issued yet (criminals tend to wait until the end before leaving).

the military is working now . they are flying resources to bella coola by tweedsmire park to try save some cabins
