As WW3 develops, no one is going to be dissing the "preppers." What have you done?

That map needs to be updated. A few of those red dots NE of Kamloops need to be changed to "Fires of note"

Kootenays are being lit up by lightning right now...still can't figure out how to copy the map though

damn thats not good . theres link to firemap on bc govt site . the foresty site got so many hits they put the map in another spot .

Yup, it's been estimated to be that for a few days now. There's too much smoke to make an exact measurement, but chances are that it will be getting much bigger as the heat returns later this week.

The Kootenays are getting all the heat. They're the only place below 20% humidity, and the danger rating is back up to high and extreme...

I agree Frisk, I had no idea!

I just wanted to say thanks to Glacier for posting this technical stuff. It's interesting.

I saw a story on the news a while back that (if I recall correctly - no one quote me on this please) that fire danger is greatest when the 3-30's are met. That's temperature over 30 degrees, winds over 30 and humidity below 30.

So Glacier, are the Kootenays the only place under 20% in the province now?
