Some of the Lake Country firemen have taken one of the trucks up to 100 Mile to help out. Hope there isn't a major incident in Lake Country in the meantime.

Two trucks went to 100 Mile actually. But regardless, I agree with your point! That said, I haven't heard anything, outside of these forums, about a fire up Beaver Lake Rd. If there is, it's likely outside of city limits anyhow which would mean it's to be attacked by the provincial forrestry teams rather than by municiple fire depts... unless it gets big.

I think it's referring to the fire at the fiberglass manufacturing plant. Grass fire started by tossed cig that reached their storage area destroying a number of completed product:
