Temperature increase

When we had the creek flooding last year on May 5th the temperature in Kelowna the day before peaked between 24 - 25 degrees and we received a large amount of rain from a thunderstorm later that night. We're expected to experience similar temperatures later this week with the possibility of rain afterwards so it's probably something to keep an eye on.

The Lake is a lot lower this year so I don't think we need to get too worried.

The OP referenced a creek flooding, not a lake. I noticed quite a lot of people selling well settled creek and river front properties last fall where extensive erosion was evident from the previous spring. We declined putting offers in for that specific reason... huge costs and red tape to reinforce creek banks so your land doesn't wash away. Coincidence?

One of fastest ways snow melts is combination of warm to hot temperatures with a south or warm winds.
This is like placing a convection oven over the snowpack, no one wants to see this happen.

Temperature is supposed to drop way down on Sunday to 13C with rain. Looks like it'll bounce back into the 20's afterwards. Not sure if that rain could fall as snow in the hills.

The rain did not come, at all basically. Wrong again weather forecasters, or more apropos, weather guessers.
Trace of rain on Saturday and none on Sunday. Kelowna and Penticton.
Worst forecast area in all the places I've lived in my life.
My neighbor does a better job. He flips a coin.

To be fair at higher elevations it rained pretty good. In the valley we saw very little but once you got up there, it came down nicely... (or badly whichever way you want to look at it).

Maybe if the forecast called for rain at higher elevations and nothing in the valley then it might have been accurate. But it did not. The forecast is a coin flip and the overpaid EC "forecasters" need to come clean and tell the truth, they have no idea what is going to happen and they never will. If they come out and say that, I will stop bashing them. Until then they can't even get 24 hour forecasts right.
30,000+ people in Penticton and many more in Kelowna got nothing, even though much more than nothing was forecast.

Has anyone else noticed (besides the ever-vigilant NormaM and myself) that the pollen this year is orange rather than normal yellow? It was really evident after rainfall.

Is this due to stress trees were under last year with wet spring and dry dry smokey conditions of summer?
