Re: Email Scams.
As the scams continue, I recently found a site all about the Nigerian scams also called 419 Fraud or Advanced Fee Fraud.
Section 419 of the Nigerian Penal code, the section that specifically prohibits this type of crime.
Read more, and remember "If it sounds to good to be true, it isn't true!"

Yeah - the 419 scams have been around forever. If you have a decently warped sense of humor, check this out: http://www.419eater.com/
A group of guys who actively bait the 419'ers and see how far they can string them along.

I was horribly bored at my last job and had someone trying to scam me with a Blackberry I was selling on craigslist. Weeks of communication going back and forth about how I was trying to ship it out but the post office caught on fire, or delays because my brother was dying of a bowel disease, etc etc. Managed to get them to provide an address to some ghetto looking house in the US so I street viewed it on Google and started talking about how my friend lives next door and he likes the colour of their house and car. Finally got bored when they still didn't clue in and told them that my pet giraffe ate the phone so they would have to wait for me to feed it laxatives before I could get it back.
I am more important than you.

I'm pretty sure you'll get my reference, so... my absolute favourite all-time scambaiting was P-P-P-Powerbook! I think that one was pretty epic.
