.zip to .cpgz format ?

Anyone know how to unravel this.....file downloads as .zip so I unzip her and she comes out as a .cpgz format. So I open that and it converts back to a .zip format (etc etc). zzzzz

Using mac os x and I tried Stuffit Expander (as recommended) to no effect.

Thanks I'll look at that, I thought it was a command line program. Was looking for a GUI based program (lazy, I know). Will see.

Yup, I guess using the CLI is still necessary sometimes... even on a Mac.
