Email Scams.

Post by Ken7 »

Heres a pretty good guild as to email scammers. They tend to all use the same format.

what is funny, if you are replying to my add, you know my name. Wouldn't you make it a little more personal?? They don't have time for that!! LOL.

This is the senders email, [email protected].

The catch here is, they send you a worthless check. You keep it and deposit it, and send them a good check. After about #2 and a year later you realize, there check is no good. No one will help you track this person down. STAY CLEAR!!

Scary thing about this is that Ludwig institute is a real company:

http://www.licr.org/index.php/new_york/

I wonder if they are aware that they are being used as a scam.

It's either a scam or it could also be money laundering.

I've seen similar ads such as this. Deposit money for me - and I'll give you 10%. Only thing they don't tell you is that the money is from illegal activities and you could go to jail. Oh joy.

I love the paragraph about the research they have done - trying to make it seem plausible.. Oh! And you're going to offer me a position with your company and an all expense trip to new york to see your research! Where do I sign up? :dyinglaughing:

I can assure everyone that this email scam has nothing to do with the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research Ltd.
and is not a real job offer.

If you believe you are the target of such a fake job offer, please report it to the Internet Crime Complaint Centre
at http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx , or just ignore it.

I find it hilarious because it seems that every scam letter is typed and worded the same way. Oddly placed capital letters, strange sentence structure...
Come quickly Jesus, we're barely holding on.

A while ago they had a 20/20 show. It was showing these cafe' in foreign lands, where like a job these people sit at banks of computers and send off these bogus email letter scams.

The ones that make me laugh the most are trying to run money out of their country, or you are a winner. Do you not have to enter to win, and if so why do they not know your name and address etc???

If it sounds to good to be true, it is!!

I think that if you fall for it then you are responsible and should be out the money. Perhaps Darwin's law?

Banned from computer ownership? Seems a tad harsh. How would they be monitered? :dyinglaughing:
As WW3 develops, no one is going to be dissing the "preppers." What have you done?

Are you suggesting they might get hit by a short bus?
