A functioning naval railgun - soon (relatively) to be installed on battleships.

I liked the rail gun on Quake II

Ahh it's such a strange transition... I used to think weapons were so cool, so amazing... nowadays I find them horrifying, the idea that humans could design such things only for the purpose of easier killing... it is unthinkable. When will it stop? :(
Peace be with you

I think the transition is pretty normal. As people age they change.

How come you haven't gotten to that point yet though? Forever young? :dyinglaughing:

People are different. Boys like everything that blows up and crushes things. Girls like the flowers and puppies. You've already explained your position on all things that shoot, no need to go there again.

This is a fun video to watch - first half of it shows Chinese army parade marching that looks absolutely perfect.

Second half shows how they're trained to march like this, how much work goes into it, and how they get so perfect.

Do you truly believe that man with a conscience is "female" merely because he is now, as a grown adult, actually looking at the consequences and implications of the "things that blow up" such as the lives it takes along with them?

This has nothing to do with masculine and feminine tendencies, it has to do with ethical and moral values. A man that does not bow down before a tank or a rocket or a gun or to someone in uniform does not make him effeminate or any less of a man. In fact, IMO, it makes him more so. It takes more courage to stand in front of a gun than behind one.
