Conspiracy theorists will love this:

The ARGUS-IS, or the Autonomous Real-Time Ground Ubiquitous Surveillance Imaging System, is a Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) project contracted to BAE Systems.
A single UAE will be able to film an entire city thanks to ultra resolution.

Not a weapon per se, but evokes images of Terminators and Mecha Robots.

Also, keep in mind that Boston Dynamics is now owned by Google.
Google can send robots to you. And Google knows where you live.

DEW, (Directed Energy Weaponry)
This technology has been in the makings since the 40's. perhaps even before that. We all remember the Philadelphia experiment that never really happened. By the year 1989 cold fusion was finally developed in a, not military, but a civilian lab, by Fliechmann and Pons, but was quickly shot down in a unanimous vote by Dr Steven Jones, among all people, and his peers. Because it never really happened. Then there was the crazy guy from BC, John Hutchinson. (the Hutchinson effect) Who among many other things, was able to bend and warp steel at the molecular level involving no heat at all, or embed wood into aluminum, but that was all faked as well. Yet all though a fellow by the name of Ace Baker could repeat some with trickery, to this day no one can repeat all the so called camera tricks.
I believe this technology is here now, and no one will ever know it exists. And no, im not talking about the crowd control device. You bet they will still use kinetic weapons if they didn't that would give there little secret away. to bad they already did.
heres a three part series on weapons used in Iraq. and the unusual damage they caused.

dude looks like hes playing a video game. you would think that they would have some sort of tracking device. or perhaps they do, but for public viewing, they use a joystick to keep the bad guys thinking theres always the possibility of a miss.
pretty cool none the less.
