The deadliest weapon is a marine and his sledgehammer.

You know if they keep pursuing such ideas, then there will be no need for humans anymore and we'd all be slaves to the machines. So are humans so stupid that they invest in their own demise? It baffles me... :P

Yes, and it is definitely baffling.

Nah. Machines will slave for us by doing things we don't like doing. We'll send them to the Moon to mine resources and make breakfast burritos.

Yes, the military would never think about it's uses, nor would hackers and powerful madmen.

Oh no, they'll use it. But most high tech then trickle down to civil use. Like GPS, Internet, or cell phones.

That's the scary part. Now we can be tracked, have our personal information hacked, and our calls monitored. This might not pose a problem to all people... yet, but it could end up working against us all if used for the wrong purpose. We essentially have a weapon in all our homes which CAN be used against us and easily collapse an economy. These are our modern day Trojan horses.

Well, feel free to unplug your Internet if you're scared of it.

I'm not, but I realize it's a realistic threat. It's foolish to never use a crosswalk because there might be traffic, and it's foolish to use a crosswalk without checking for traffic first. I prefer to use it and keep an eye on traffic, but I'm just crazy that way.
