THX tune up app was free at one time, keep in mind there are some limitations.

thanks hoz

I tried it on the Ipad connected to the TV... unfortunately the hdmi adapter into the ipad doesnt work... "this accessory is not supported by this device"

apparently, after googling the issue, it has been a problem ever since IOS 8 was issued by apple. it still has not been fixed by apple! SMH...

supposedly the NEW adapter, model # MD098ZM/A fixes the problem..... well for some anyway. I have put in an reserve order with BB. I will take my ipad with me and see if it works ;)

for me the calibrated settings done by users/calibrators and shared on AVS Forums makes a significant difference to the presets done by the manufacturer, IMO.

however, those settings from AVS may not have the same room conditions as mine...like lighting and such but it may be minor, unless you are OCD like some on the AVS forums ;)

ETA: the adapter works! ;)
