Basically, what I'm looking to be able to do on it:

- Checking emails
- Updating blogs
- Surfing
- May be some minor graphic design (changing images, etc.)

You'll love a Chromebook then.

I have a brand new Windows 10 Laptop that I use in the field for IT work. It's a must for legacy systems and such.

Other than that, my new Chromebook gets used way more. It's faster, I've never had it crash, and the battery lasts 11 hours.

The fact of the matter is, most of our time on a laptop is spent in a Browser window. And Chromebooks excel for that.

Awesome. Anything special I should pay attention to when I'm buying one? There are so many of them on the market.

This is probably going to be the worst thing anyone has ever done
on a forum before - going off topic -but anyone know why I couldn't
use my Samsung Galaxy Tab Lite in the library?

I wanted to see if I could
use a Tablet to send emails from libraries, but it never showed any wireless
in the library.

I don't use the library, but it would make sense to me for them to have some sort of protocol in place to control access, for a number of reasons.

This is why I use Shaw, as with their Go-Wifi feature, all I do is go into my account under internet, and enter the MAC address of my tablet and phone, after which they automatically connect to Shaw hotspots all over the city. And they have a lot of them.

That's perfect. A Chromebook pairs up great with an Android phone.

The new Samsung Pro will run Android Apps. There is a nice advantage there for you.

Google has been working on running Android Apps on the Chromebooks for a while now.
Not every app is perfect. But the App developers are making them better and better every day.
By April, I think the Android Apps implementation will be polished up.

I work in Linux, MacOS, Windows, and Chromebook. I will recommend you try a Chromebook for your application.

The Samsung Pro is available in April.

Have a look:
