1940/50's Kelowna (*Photos*)

Post by Yellow Sprinkles »

I was scanning some old photos to share with the rest of my family, and I thought they might be of some interest on here. At first I was just going to add them to the "Kelowna Skyline" thread... but they are much different... and there are a bunch.

These are some old post cards. The first is the only one that actually went through the mail and it is post marked 1945.

And these are just some random photos from around town

I just realized that, for some reason, some of the photos are cropped on the right side.

If you right click on the pics and then click on View Image, you'll see the whole picture - quite a bit has been cropped off ...

LOL - thanks for the tip grammafreddy! And no, I don't have anymore... there are some floating around in my family somewhere, but unfortunately I doubt I'll ever be able to get my hands on them. I've always loved them though, since I was a little kid - and even more has changed since then!

Wow, those are cool... it's bizarre to see the lake frozen over, I've heard that happened but a picture says it best.

Thanks Yellow Sprinkles! So cool to see such great pics of our beautiful city from days gone by!!

I hope you don't mind that I cropped a bit of one of the photos to show here... I was wondering if anyone could determine what these were? 2 planters?
