Ha ha, takes one to know one!

We're smiling because in two days we dealt with eight chickens. Had to give two away though, we just could not deal with two of them. So six got roasted and slow cooked, deboned and bagged, labelled and frozen. All different flavours too. Lemon-garlic, garlic, white wine sauced, plain, herbed etc.

We also baked a cherry pie.

Did vegetables with some of the roasted chicken, so we have roasted taters, carrots and a mix from the slow cooker.

Two of six are dinner and lunches in the coming days. Soooo nice not to have to scramble to cook for a bit.

No more bus! Went to Auction World yesterday and I'm now driving an '03 Matrix. A Toyota, in my price range decent mileage and what I was looking for (hatchback, A/C, good on gas, practical). So - YAY! :D (Now I just have to get used to the wonky/weird shifter).

That is such good news! You have had a streak of questionable luck lately.

My smile today is managing to sleep in... no wait, that was because we got home from an excellent party at 3:20 am.
I've got dozens of 60's recreation party pix to go through for the birthday boy now.

A call from my son telling me he is making a last minute trip here this weekend! (he lives in Red Deer)!!!
Overall an awesome day, but that phone call was the icing on the cake!
