My boys are coming home for Turkey Weekend and I will be making the traditional turkey dinner, but tonight I made a canner and a half of borscht! Just like their Baba made! They are so excited to try it, and of course take some home!
Proud of myself and proud to share with my boys!

My past few days were full of smiles as my boys were here for Thanksgiving. We had tons of fun, toured surrounding towns, ate tons of food, even snuck down to Colville to check out the corn maze. Now that they have all dispersed, we are doing Thanksgiving with boyfriends family... Italian style! *excited!*
Nobody goes home hungry!

Koko got her birthday wish this July 4th — not only did one kitten come to visit, but a whole litter. Koko fell in love with one, and the other fell in love with her. Koko has adopted these two kittens into her family, and it has energized her world.

A great time out with the family yesterday, and a slow morning and coffee today. Quiet, mostly, except for some exceptionally soothing mandolin music from the zone my hubby is in on his game.

The last work day of this 2 week stretch "up-north" is done. ...and now i can look forward to tomorrow and getting back to my little tribe (and roads full of angry tailgaters and texters) in Kelowna.
