I was sitting here thinking of this energy zapping day and thought and thought and thought for a long time.... Then it came to me. Daughter comes home with report card, straight A's and on principal's list. Super proud.

This comic

Toy.jpg

It was my favourite toy for a loooong time and it launched the great "noisy toy war" between my mom and her sibs.

Automatic machine gun toys with realistic noise, drums, but the best had to be the fireman's hat with light and siren - that went to my cousin from my folks. [icon_lol2.gif]

Just pure awesomeness^^

On another note what made me smile today- bman and GB on castanet...

More importantly, my beautiful girlfriend with me, yesterday and today and tomorrow. Life is good. She brings such a smile to my face. That, I'm thankful and grateful for!

 Not sure if this should be in Fire Watch, but if was it'd time out and few would see it.

Here is a genuine act of courage that most of us never want to face, they really put themselves on the line in the water. Lots could have gone wrong. :130:

Now I would smile if they determine it's not treatable.

was at superstore buying corn today.an elderly gent was also there.we were teasing each other about who was getting the best cobs as we shucked them, throwing the husks into a garbage bin.well I guess with all the chatting and laughing with this gent I ACCIDENTLY put some husks back into the corn bin..it wasn't 2 seconds later when this lady came up to the bin and said ..you do know that you just shucked that cob into the corn bin,,well I looked and yes I had,,it was hard to tell as a lot of others had obviously done the same thing..so I grabbed a big handful of mine and others husks and tossed them into the garbage can..both of us assumed the lady was there to get some corn but low and behold she just walked away toward the front of the store...so I said to the gent..what was that all about?..then we both just had a real good chuckle and he said sometimes you just have to take people with a grain of salt and smile sweetly...so that is what made me smile today..watch out people, the corn husking police lady will be watching you..lol

Today Daughter and I went out and did some errands to do with her upcoming course at Okanagan College (Pastry Arts). We went to Whisk Cake Company and found out some great information. We took her uniform pants to be hemmed. We shopped for (though didn't yet buy) uniform shoes (we're considering the options for all levels of non-slip care shoes, she is leaning towards the Dansko at Hollywood shoes, though we haven't been to Marks yet). We went to the credit union where she dealt with a banking issue on her own (this is actually quite a big thing for her). We had lunch together and really enjoyed each other's company (those days can be rare!). She is confident and a little excited/nervous. It was a great day :sunshine:

My son likes the Dawgs non slip when he's working. Pretty reasonable on Amazon.
