I can probably get away with giving my wife a plant for Christmas.

I'd like a plant for Christmas ... don't have any houseplants here yet. A Swedish Ivy or a Shamrock plant would be nice.

I received a giraffe and a plant (Jade tree that I'm trying to learn bonsai with) for my birthday. I loved them both.

Is your garage high enough for the giraffe?? Too cool. I'd like a giraffe, too. They are my fave zoo animal.

Redditor red_fog recently posted an adorable photo of his dog, Duder, and horse, Mac, spending quality time together.

The photo of the pit bull mix snuggling up against the Arab horse quickly went viral.

"There are few things on the planet as cute as interspecies cuddling," one redditor commented.

Red_fog explained the photo:

"These are my pets, but my mother took the picture. They are currently on the other side of the country and i won't be able to get home to see them for the holidays so my mom sent me this to hold me over until i get to see them again. "Duder" is the dog, he's 3/4 lab & 1/4 pit. "Mac" is the horse, i believe he is an Arab." he wrote. "My mom is a horse trainer and these two hang out together all day. Naturally, they've become quite fond of one another."

In response to redditors' questions, red_fog shared the odd couple's backstory:

"When they first met Duder was 8 weeks old. Of course, he was a bit curious and skeptical of Mac, but Duder just kept his distance and stayed near my mom and I in the pasture. Over time Duder got a little brave and would nip at Mac's heels and try to chase him. Mac is 23 years old and just didn't really pay him much attention. This went on for months, but Duder kept following Mac all day. Duder is now 15 months old and has apparently grown on Mac. From what I hear from my mom, they play for hours on end these days."

The sweet photo resonated with Reddit users immediately.

"Especially during awful times when the entirety of social media is abuzz with tragic and sad stuff, we all need pictures like this to remind us of love. Positivity is also contagious and we need to remember that," redditor chouffee wrote.

Not sure what Sigmund Freud would say about your giraffe but I like it. The clock on the other hand is a hot mess. :ohmygod:
