Why does it look like smoke coming off the cat?
I have learned that to be with those I like is enough.

We do have one of those but this one is a speed boat. To be mostly used for exploring, tubing and enjoying bbq dinners while trolling. And probably some boat camping.

Day off and I went out to see my friend that lives where I grew up. I drove by the home I grew up in. Huge smiles and memories.

Seven yellow birds repetitiously cycling through six thistle seed bird feeder perches and hanging upside down in the process. Some are obviously the hatchlings from last year who have returned to hopefully nest this year. Five years ago I had none. Now lots of them.
They are getting accustomed to me so that I can stand still at the window and watch them from a distance of less than two feet away. Beautiful birds.

Husband got a freebie game off the 360 yesterday. He's been playing it since. Our daughter decided to watch him for a while. After hearing the dialogue loop a number of times I asked "What's going on in there, you keep dying?". I got a terse "Yes" in return. Then daughter and dad had a chat. Next thing I know, they're on to new dialogue. Turns out SHE took the controller and got him past the "tough" spot No, she hadn't played that game before.

My now several dozen yellow finches and reddish colored finches are always good for several smiles every day.
Finally finished rebuilding and repainting my back fence that the over sized Hydrangea Vine Plant weighted down and smashed this spring. Had to cut the Hydrangea way, way, way, way back to untangle it from the pickets on the fence so, in spite of the large established root system, it will likely be another three or four years before it flowers again. Having the chance to shape it in the coming years is worth another smile.
Two (white eyed) cowbirds also showed up yesterday. Welcome back guys.

Five photos were accepted for a photography show. Now I have to get busy and get them printed and framed.
As WW3 develops, no one is going to be dissing the "preppers." What have you done?

Rescued some plants! House being demolished, land being excavated. Several tulips and some unidentified bulbs.

Re: What Made You Smile Today?
Watching my daughter 'surprise' me one day early with a birthday gift she bought me on her last outing at the mall with friends. She was so very excited to watch me open it, in turn I was very surprised to get it. Some days it is the little things that remind me how lucky I really am. Little does she know that just being able to watch her grow up is the best gift I could ever have.
