I know this is wrong but, in hopes that this wrong answer
garners a slight, ingenious hint.
Spion Kopje..
I know it's wrong because it appears that the body of water is river, not lake!!!

Re: Forum Photo Contest!
let's forget I ever said "height of land" and pretend I said MOUNTAIN or HILLTOP.
The body of water is indeed a lake, but much like a river its level fluctuates massively between spring and fall.
The elevation of the hill is about halfway between that of Okanagan Mountain and Little White and was the place of a Forest Fire 15 or so years ago. You can easily drive right to the top and sign a logbook in the lookout.

My very first guess days ago ( didn't post it ) was that you are around Summerland looking over Naramata and OK Lake ( height of land ) but have no idea which mountain we are looking at. Still don't know which mountain.

LOL, good one! (check out the vegetation)
In initial thought was looking south at Kamloops Lake toward Mt. Savona.
But it could also be in the Okanagan. Maybe Little White Mountain?

Well, in the interest of keeping this going I'll pass off to someone else. This picture was taken from within Lac Du Bois Grasslands Protected Area on the north side of Kamloops lake facing pretty much due south towards Greenstone Mountain.
