First hint its within BC and not north of Quesnel.

Please guess as many times as you wish.

You find the river within the map below.
Within here.jpg

So north of US border, west of Cranbrook, south of Quesnel and east of Nanaimo.
Second hint: the name is more than 5 letters long but less than 10.

For those who would like to play along, but don't want to win/post send your guesses via PM to me. I will let you know if you're correct or not

Third hint:
Srink the area a bit so still north of US border... but now south of 100 Mile House... east of Lillooet... west of Nelson.

Keep those guesses coming.

I haven't lived here long or road-tripped around BC much, so I have no idea for 99% of the posts in this thread. haha!
Your bias suits you.

Well, Woodenhead here is last hint that should make this sure give away (maybe).

At the beginning of the river is a lake, then middle (maybe not exactly) is another lake and at the end is a third lake.

To bad this thread slowed down so much. i really enjoy the pictures from everywhere.
Now my first guess was going to be kelowna, but upon closer inspection I will have to go with penticon. Although that could be some sort of manufacturing trickery. Hmmmm...no I'm sticking with penticton

GordonH got it first try. The answer was Vernon.

Now name this glacier. Hint: if you're stumped ask Steven Lloyd or Jennylives. No need to wait for an answer to post your photo.
