I'm confused as to which photo we are guessing on.

While we are clearing up the confusion, name this river (pictures from mouth upwards):

Yup, but can you get the two bonus questions?

Pfffffffffffttttttttttt, Fraser River. I was on that bridge. Nope for the "large glacier river" but I'm sure someone out there knows.

You are correct, of course.

The big river that assumes the Chilcotin name is the Chilko River. The Chilko River comes from Canada's largest high elevation lake of the same name, but doesn't get glacial until it merges with the Taseko River, which flows north out of the South Chilcotin Mountains that divide the Chilcotin drainage from the Bridge River (Lillooet) drainage.

The picture doesn't do it justice, but the Chilko River is much larger than the Chilcotin River where they merge west of Alexis Creek. I would guess at least 5 times the size. So much for my theory that the name always follows the bigger river.

Nope, 6 km from Sheridon Lake. Ha, ha... yes. you're right. So is hurtlander. Post a picture either one of you. GordonH even provided a Google Streetview link via PM.

It's Horse Lk. Rd. and Mahood Lk Rd. intersection.

Whoever is fastest posts next.
