The bulletproof thread: December silly-season edition

Post by Jo »

Every year December brings out great outpourings of sentimentality, hostility, silliness, and other derailing ways of being.

This thread is for those feelings. Keep it reasonably friendly in here, but get whatever is in your system out of your system in this thread where there is no possible way to derail it, even if you try.

Nastiness won't fly in here, nor will libelous statements, but pretty much anything else is a go.

So rumour mongering like "hey, Jo, I've heard you've got a bun in the oven" won't fly as well as "congratulations on your exciting addition to your family!"
As WW3 develops, no one is going to be dissing the "preppers." What have you done?

I justify my wacky behavior this week to the passing of a close family member three days ago and that everyone I've been arguing with has just been dumb.

Kitty cat a.k.a. Queenie won't leave the " last word " thread.
I find that annoying.

I'm imagination impaired tonight, could you elaborate on how Jo could have started that rumour in the first place?

I know you're getting dementia Logi, but who knew how badly, the Last Word thread is under the Canada section, go look for it. I know you'll find it. Eventually.

Christmas is just a commercialised travesty, which makes far more sense than that born in a manger story.
Spend, buy, give, party, sing, visit, eat, drink, enjoy.
Use a cab or DD, and take it a little easy on that " don we now our Gay Apparel stuff.
This whole season is about doing good and having a good time. Do it, stay safe, be happy.
I'll be doing good and being happy at work. :sunshine:
