Have you taken down your christmas decorations yet?
Are you happy Christmas is over?

I'm just back from the grocery store everything is empty it's like if people haven't eat for a full year.

Why would you like Christmas over? I love having my family around me. Grocery stores restock in the middle of the night - go early in the morning for best selection.

I didn't put my tree up this year. :( I hauled it up from the basement but the damn movers must have decided I didn't need any of my old family heirloom tree decorations because they are not here. That kinda spoiled my Christmas but it was nice to have family around again after eight years on my own.

Why do you bother celebrating Christmas if you're just going to complain about it?

agreed.....if you don't like it don't celebrate it.

When I was young and single I didn't celebrate it but chose to celebrate Winter Solstice instead.

Last year I took the tree down Jan 2, Family complained that It should be up til 7th of Jan. Im not ukranian so go figure. CHBC showed people taking their real trees for chipping today, I guess so. Put it up too early and then wonder why the needles are all over the floor by christmas. Have had years where I was glad it was over , but this one was good. :127:

Growing up, Christmas was always two weeks long because that's the amount of time you're away from school, so I've never thought of it as a one day holiday. I can count the number of years on one hand that I haven't had two weeks off at Christmas.

Christmas is not just a single day. It's at least a week of festivities. Going Nordic skiing tomorrow and maybe have a game of pond hockey the next day. Between now and New Years we will have some people over for dinner a couple of times, go over to friends' for a big feast, relax in front of the fire place, play some games, go sledding, have a few more rum 'n eggnogs, and simply relax at home with the family.

I love Christmas. Thank god Christmas is not over!

Im trying to determine if in fact there is a god to thank.
I recieved most of my theology training from castanet, and there seems to be conflicting views.

Bman...The only thing that kept me going this Christmas is the faith that even Jesus gets tired of a "party"...

It's over , but the kids are still happy AND "believe".

The tree stays up till I get the strength to put the NEW compressor in the garage !

WOO!

Next year I'll lend you my wax crayons and then you can colour your KD boxes. :sunshine: You can even draw ornaments on your KD tree!!!!

Some castanet poster will see this and decide your crafting talents makes you a keeper.
Keep posting your accomplishments and a fine fellow will swoop in and PM you with an offer to dinner to a restaurant without plastic chairs.

Unless its one of those oriental places you see on tv that you take your shoes off at.
I'd like to try oriental pizza, with rice and soya sauce on it.

Try the chicken szechuan pizza from Boston Pizza. It's as oriental as you can get. Delicious !!
