Facebook is so boring...
Are you on Facebook? What do you like about it? This is what my "home" page have been saying for the past couple days, I wonder if it's because I never visit my friend's profiles, or because I cleaned my account and unfriend 100 of them lately?
I want to say I use Facebook to keep in touch with people. No news means good news?

Facebook used to be great, now it only shows snippets from peoples postings (and it tends to pick those stupid fake draws and games people "like"). Now recently I've had a friend who is currently in Australia who has been uploading pictures of her travels for months, but I only recently had them come up in my feed because another friend commented on one.
Stupid Facebook.
Stupid Facebook.

I check on the people I care about, Facebook notices and makes sure I see updates from them. I have some people marked as family, some as friends, some as acquaintances. Some people I almost never see in my feed and I'm okay with that.
I haven't failed until I quit.

I like being able to keep in touch with friends from all over the world but I hate all the "likes" and such that keep showing!
I would "like" it if I could stop those somehow.

Facebook is only for those who need constant communication with other people. It is a constant irritation to those who do not because there is an obligation to respond.

Re: Facebook is so boring...
I killed my page years ago. I thought it was a great idea to communicate with old friends etc. but then I realized that I was starting to obsess about how current my content was and that it was taking way more time than I ever would have thought necessary.
I also realized that I had friends who were in fact obsessed and posted absolutely everything they were doing all the time and I mean everything and that was when it struck me that I had no real interest in it.
In fairness though, it did help me to reconnect with a friend who I hadn't talked with in many years and we are still in touch today so I guess if used properly and sparingly, it may not be so bad for some but it does require maintenance.

I recently signed up to FB 'cause my daughter is in the UK and would post pictures of all her sightseeing. Other than that, I have no friends 'cause if I haven't talked to you in the past year.....

Facebook is just a way to weed out my dumb friends/family from the comfort of my couch.
So help me god if you send another game request, post the name of a country without the letter "A" in it, or fall for the "FREE APPLE IPAD GIVEWAY" scam one more time. You're gone.
The only people I see using Facebook "properly" (i.e. status updates and photos...that's all) are my generation. The Mark Zuckerberg generation, back when you needed a university/college email to sign up.
My parents friends don't stop sharing those cheesy inspirational misquoted pictures or trying to invite me to play those stupid casino games. On the opposite end it's those kids who are technically too young to even have a Facebook account posting 25 duck face selfies a day.

I agree but just be aware that it's not the person inviting you to play the games. The games access their friend list and do it on their own. It is one of the things that really is annoying with facebook. Since I have started blocking these games it has pretty much stopped for me at least. I do believe though, that there are games that give you more points/lives/crops of corn etc. when you share and invite friends. I could be wrong though because I don't play that crap. But I do tend to block them as they come up. It's only a matter of time though before they're on to the next soul sucking game and those notifications are back!
