You will also be very nervous if it's occupied.

Nothing.
Ukraine is broke, and undertook a war on that portion of the country that provided 30% of GDP. Now a draft, for an army, for a war, for a government that will - get this - implement IMF/EU *austerity*.

Everything. It's like a whole new world opens up in front of you. Baby's eyes see everything new, teens spread their wings, adults scramble to get their golf and crystal balls in an order, over 50 you start to make your world look like you want it to. It's like a fresh start.

"You quit trying to hold your stomach in no matter who walks into the room.

You sing along with elevator music.

Your eyes won’t get much worse.

Your investment in health insurance is finally beginning to pay off.

Your joints are more accurate meteorologists than the national weather service.

Your secrets are safe with your friends because they can’t remember them either.

Kidnappers are not very interested in you.

In a hostage situation you are likely to be released first.

No one expects you to run anywhere.

People call at 9:00 PM and ask, "Did I wake you?"

People no longer view you as a hypochondriac.

There is nothing left to learn the hard way.

Things you buy now won’t wear out.

You can eat dinner at 4:00 PM.

You can almost live without sex but not your glasses.

You enjoy hearing about other people’s operations.

You get into heated arguments about pension plans.

You no longer think of speed limits as a challenge.

Your supply of brain cells is finally down to manageable size.

You can’t remember who told you about this list.

You notice these are all in big print for your convenience."
Remember yesterday. Dream tomorrow. Live like crazy today.

Now you can get a cane and start yelling at kids, "Hey you kids, get outta my yard!"

You just can't do that before fifty.

Can switch to too-short purple polyester pants and white over-built running shoes.

Dance as if no one's watching, sing as if no one's listening, and live everyday as if it were your last.

Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain.

I'm closing in on 50 in a few days but it's proving to be harder than closing in on 30, or 40 even.

So what's so great about 50?

When my mother in law turned 50, she sat in front of Lifetime TV watching menopause docudramas and ate 'Nilla Wafers until her stomach pooched out of the new blouse we bought her.
On moderation, so it's a good time to throw in the towel. So long, pilgrims!
