About 4:30 a kid about 12 rang the doorbell. We don't have displays up and were surprised; however my daughter answered the door and chatted for a while and the offered her one of our nice firm ripe tomatoes for the goodie bag. The kid was amazed!! "Wow! So much better than candy!" No one since.

Gotta say that I miss the little ones all dressed up and wide eyed tho. They were the ones I dressed up for too - and it was fun!

Ya, cuz the kid put out a text: That house is giving out veggies.

No one since!

Ha ha.

We've had eight or nine kids.

3 kids all under 5 year. Worst year yet. Best year was 12 kids.

We had at least twice as many as last year. Well over 100 for sure. Didn't count, but we ran out of candy before 7. Granted, we did move a block away from to a much newer neighbourhood, and as CBC was discussing earlier this week, families are taking their kids more and more to more affluent neighbourhoods at the expense of moderate and poor ones. People who live in downtown Kelowna take their kids up to Crawford Estates and such, leaving no kids left to trick or treat in the neighbourhood in which they actual live. The trend seems to be getting more extreme, but that's no surprise because for the first time in history Canadians are now spending more on Halloween than Americans.

We had 47 kids which is way down from the 250+ when we first moved here many years ago.
It has been dropping every year. We had 65 last year.

Foxy was having a great time greeting the kids at the door.

That's worked out great for me!
