I'd also say the lighter the better for girls who work evenings in the summer and have to bus it or walk home.

Just pick one and stick with it already. I'm so done with this week of chaos while my body adjusts.
I haven't failed until I quit.

It's just cruel, why not move clocks ahead on the monday at 4pm. At least that way we could just leave work an hour early. Seems like a no brainer to me.

People will eventually get use to it. No changes are easy at first.

They have a poll on whether you think DST should be abolished. Many don't like the idea of having to change the clocks, yet the poll doesn't mention whether you want to keep the time as it is now or set it back permanently. Personally, I enjoy having it light in the evening when you can actually do something (not like it's dark in the mornings in the summer) and for teens who have to bus it home after work, the light is beneficial plus it's been proven to save electricity. Why not give the choice in the poll so it's not so misleading?

Too bad it can't be staggered times. The clock really never mattered to me and I think it's more important to get the job done within the daylight permitted if it's that important.

Okay Premier of BC, this sample vote tells me its time to join Saskatchewan and say no to time change.

A better question, "Should BC get rid of standard time ?"
Just stay on daylight savings time year round.
Just stay on daylight savings time year round.

What a stupid poll, it gives no indication of which time people want to stay on. Polls show that the majority would rather stay on DST whereas Saskatchewan is not on DST, in which case we wouldn't be joining Saskatchewan.

^^^ hmm... question said should BC end DST, so that says staying with standard time. Which we will be switching to at 2am.

The problem with that poll is too many people think that means just not changing the clocks without considering which time to stay on.

In 2007, the B.C. government received 4300 submissions from businesses, individuals and organizations and conducted a 4 week public consultation on expanding DST by an extra 3 weeks every year in order to align with the U.S. and other jurisdictions. The finally tally showed that 92 percent of respondents favoured DST and the extra hour of daylight during the evening hours.
Now you see how it seems not many want to join Saskatchewan.

Another misleading poll:
http://globalnews.ca/news/2574470/poll- ... ings-time/
I assume "give me my sleep" means you want it darker in the morning and "the extra hour of sunlight" would be in the evening... which is the same thing...

Should Canada get rid of Daylight Savings Time?
Yes, give me my sleep.
No, I like the extra hour of sunlight.

Do they have more light in the mornings or evenings compared to us in the summer?
Most of North America is on DST, with Saskatchewan being the main Canadian oasis of year-round standard time in the Central Time zone.
