What kind of shady characters do you associate with that makes this such a concern?

Being anti-social by using social media? You got this figured out eh?

It took me quite a while to warm up to Facebook, but now I love it. Its a great tool to see what my friends and family are doing, experience special occasions with them such as trips and events, share a joke or two. Its fantastic - especially for those of us with family/friends overseas :)

So at first when a few people wanted to be my friend I accepted because
I didn't want to be a jerk. But then I noticed a lot of people, relatives etc wanted
to be my friend and it looked like it would never end. Why on earth would someone want to make a nice
list of all the people they know - to be used by someone in the future against them - possibly.

So I stopped accepting friends. And later - delete.

Blah blah blah.... Again I ask, why announce it and not just do it, what are you looking for?

I'm waiting for the government spying on you on Facebook article, or whatever he really wants to talk about that probably should be banished to conspiracy.

He probably has some valid concerns. With his terrorist sympathies as expressed in other threads,
he fits the exact profile of those the Harper government has in mind in introducing Bill C-51.
If that bill goes through, well ... better enjoy Thinktank’s posts while you can.

Why later? Is your addiction to Facebook so strong that you can't delete it now?
