Bublé: Body-shaming or refreshing photo?

Post by I am Canadian »

Michael Bublé publicly accused of body-shaming a woman. I think the picture is just refreshing to look at.

Would it be a woman doing the same thing to a good looking man in torso, it wouldn't even make the news, all the ladies on Facebook would be drooling in front of their screens but this story went viral from coast to coast.

Your opinion? Body-shaming or not?

This is the insignificant BS that makes the internet so worthless. It's not our business to decipher or question why anyone took this picture. To call it body shaming is right along the lines of the uber-sensitive and politically correct garbage that dominates our society nowadays. I just wasted 2 minutes of my time writing about this insignificant BS...but it was only to prove a point. What have our lives come to when we waste even 2 minutes of our day talking about something that is irrelevant and overblown.

Boublé said in another interview that his wife took the pic, so if she's okay with it it's all that matters, right?

Man I wish my wife was as liberal as his

The internet is shamelessly used to mock people's quirks and foibles under the guise of humour. People are a disappointing lot to say the least, and mocking others behind their backs is common while infinitely juvenile. Somehow, though, when a celebrity is involved, it is different. Had this photo been posted by some nameless guy, The Tango would've picked it up soon enough.

I find this whole discussion a little baffling.

Guy's wife takes a picture of him with a girl in short-shorts in the background.... and.... what about it? huh?

Can someone explain?
