Who writes these headlines?

Do people now go to cemeteries to die?
Or do they die first?

You're right, it's a really bad headline. I'd like to give them the benefit of the doubt and think maybe they were shooting for a place to rest, but brainfarted it into a place to die.

I was the first to comment this morning.................Really ??!!!
Suggested "Cemetery requires expansion", and two others and commented that I expected an article on more hospices places being required, but still nothing up on the comment I put there.

When you complain they tell you that they are limited to X number of characters for their headers and that is supposed to excuse the terrible choices of words used.

I'm still waiting for the header to change or my comments to go up. LOL

Well I must admit that headline provided my "chuckle for the day".

I have visions of people lining up for a nice place to be at the exact moment they cross over into the other world. Do you think they'll provide seating, or would we all be expected to die while standing up?

Maybe they could work it so that at the actual point of death, we just sort of keeled over, right into the grave.

good luck with getting your comment added. castanet news appears to pick and choose when it allows comments... i am guessing this isnt one of them ;)

How about this one from today:
"Drowned man recovered."
Did he really?

Maybe he recovered enough just to go die at the cemetery.

Well, I wonder if they meant having 1 foot in the grave? You'd still be alive for that! LOL!!!!

And today's headline: "Water Outage in Rutland", fortunately it "came back on".

Headline reads: Grizzly bear attack survivors

So what exactly did they survive from just to be attacked by grizzly, thats what I get from this headline or I'm just overtired. lol

I read it a couple of times to understand they weren't attacked twice or other survivors of some other tragedy.
It is a Canadian Press story, not local.
I think I am going to study journalism in my spare time for one of them degrees/diplomas/certificates to make some extra coin.

I reread the grizzly header a couple of times also. I thought OMG they were attacked again! Those poor guys!

Honestly, I'm beginning to wonder just how many wine events the reporters from Castanet are attending daily. Is there no proofreading done and no pride in their own stories?

I see the "Finding a place to die" header has been changed to something similar to my suggestions, but my comment never got published. LOL
