Would be nice if it did.

Bahahahaha. Actually I like it. By that logic I am still in my teens

Hahaha they tried to fix it. But it's still wrong. Now it reads "mid single digits". Which works out to 5 or 6? Madison, why not just say 11?

43% read the article, 85% consider reading, 23.5% knew about it, 15% wanted to read it.

I'd wager close to 100% glanced at it, had no idea what all the percentages represented and went on with life.

BUT, the headline was 100% stupid "Sex without condoms ? Yes"

“Garbage Truck Hits School”

How is this news? The truck tagged the building, happens all the time. Headline paints a different picture.

It's a good idea to quote the errant text in your post, since Castanet will correct their article, thus your link doesn't later show the error.

Im certainly no expert at english and punctuation, but i noticed that it seems like every Castanet article has the sentences separated into paragraphs. Instead of just a period, followed by the next sentence, they start a whole new paragraph. CBC radio was just talking about whether you should follow a period with one space, two spaces etc.

I noticed that too!

I think it's because the people don't have much to write about as some of the news is "non-news" and so they use the spaces and paragraph breaks to create an article that looks more news worthy than it is.

Kind of like padding the page.

If you know what I mean.

That's what I am saying.

Got it?

Hiker airlifted, takes tumble

What? Hiker is in the chopper and takes a tumble out?

https://www.castanet.net/news/BC/225618 ... kes-tumble

This was made me scratch my head too. A groundhog isn't a person (I've never heard of the expression applied to an animal).

Groundhog gunned down

The animal was shot - plain and simple.

Even more puzzling - if you're going to change the headline at least make it sensible.

Now it reads:

Groundhog gun-down

What's a gun-down?

It's like a "beat down" except with a gun.
