Mobula rays or flying rays are often known as the devil fish of the ocean. They don’t look very threatening, but they can sure be one of the most dangerous things in the seas. They fall under the family of eagle rays and are similar in appearance to manta rays. They can reach a disc width of up to 5.2m (17 ft) and can weigh over a ton! They are known to be the second largest Manta species in size. But other than these facts, not much is known about them.

NatGeo managed to capture a gorgeous event where a record-breaking school of mobula rays arrived off the coast of Baja. You can see that thousands of mobula rays are gathered in the middle of the ocean.
