Helicopters too close

Could have reached out and touched it , was that close, Burtch and Springfield area. Was a red sightseeing chopper maybe?. Is this allowed? any ideas ?

I just saw about 10 emergency vehicles go up highway 33 towards Rutland in the last 10-15 minutes.

If it was a red Robinson 44 it may have been power line or gas line patrol. It may have also been a medevac helicopter either departing or arriving at the Kelowna General Hospital. The new landing pad there is designated as CKH9. If it was a larger heli it may have been from Alpine or more likely Wildcat. They have red B212's for fire fighting.

And here I thought this thread was going to be about the heliport at the bottom of Hudson Road hill in Lakeview Heights where I live. I actually sort-of enjoy them flying around. What a phalanx we had in 2003 during the big fire. But I date myself.

you are pretty close to the hospital...do they have a medi vac helicopter there? We live about 3-4km from VGH and when the copters come in it sounds like it is going to land on the house.

saw a heli fitting that description today flying over cherries. Perhaps something of relation to that. There are a few places along burns road that could be using them to dry fruit.
